Berlin Good news for job seekers: Despite the tense economic situation, Germany’s most important listed companies are hiring heavily. This is shown by a current evaluation of the Indeed job exchange, which is exclusively available to the Handelsblatt. According to this, the Dax companies had advertised almost 29,500 jobs in March – 2.8 percent more than in the previous month.

This is mainly due to the two climbers in the leading index: After Commerzbank rose again at the end of February, the armaments group Rheinmetall moved up to the Dax in March. According to Indeed, this will add around 2,000 job offers. In contrast to a slightly declining trend on the entire labor market, the job offer in Germany’s first stock exchange league is at a record level, says Annina Hering, economist at Indeed.

Because without the new composition in the Dax, the total number of applications would have developed less dynamically. The Handelsblatt has compiled which companies currently offer specialists good opportunities, which profiles are in demand and who the two Dax newcomers are looking for.
