Berlin The federal government has agreed on a draft law on the future of heating. On April 19, the cabinet passed the draft amendment to the Building Energy Act, which is intended to curb CO2 emissions in the building sector in the coming years.

There should be a variety of options for this, and partial use of fossil fuels will remain permitted for the time being.

Repairs of oil and gas heating systems are still possible. Not until 2045 will all heating systems have to run entirely on renewable energies.
