Frankfurt, Düsseldorf Where in Germany do people live for whom money is no object? And how has this changed in recent years – which cities have gained and which have lost in terms of the reputation of the real top earners?
To answer this, it’s worth taking a look at the group of people who become rich through their work alone: Germany’s income millionaires – people who earn more than a million euros a year. And since this group doesn’t have to pay as much attention to what life costs, they can make their decisions about where to live based on completely different standards than the average earner.
The Handelsblatt shows in four interactive maps of Germany where most of the approximately 30,000 top earners have their primary residence and how the numbers have changed since 2015.
