Ethereum (ETH) and Dogecoin (DOGE) were among the top ten on Google’s list of the world’s most searched terms in 2021.
On December 7, the search engine Google announced its list of the most search trends in Turkey and in the world, as it does every year. According to Google Trends’ Search Year 2021, Dogecoin was the fourth most popular news search term on Google globally in 2021. The query “Ethereum Price” ranked 10th.
But in Turkey search lists, cryptocurrencies failed to be among the most sought after. It is also worth noting that Bitcoin (BTC), the most valuable cryptocurrency on the market, is not included in the 2021 Search Network category either worldwide or in Turkey.
Ethereum L2 Scaling Solutions
With Ethereum’s L2 scene approaching, the altcoin is gaining more momentum every day. According to Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin, Layer 2 scaling solutions on the Ethereum network will revolutionize the crypto space by facilitating the safest and most sustainable way to scale Ethereum while maintaining decentralization. Earlier this October, Buterin claimed at the 2021 Shanghai International Blockchain Week that Ether’s L2 will solve scalability issues. However, he suggested migrating blockchain and NFTs to L2 against scalability and high gas fees issues.
Both Dogecoin and AMC Stocks Top 10
While Ethereum is the ultimate altcoin, Dogecoin is the original meme coin. In addition to being Elon Musk’s favorite, DOGE has proven itself in the decentralized industry and has outstripped several altcoins with complex technology.
Along with “Ethereum Price” and “Dogecoin”, “AMC Stock” also took its place in the top 10 most searched news list. AMC, the largest movie theater chain in the United States, is not afraid to include meme tokens in its business. Recently, AMC announced that it accepts payments in both Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, making history for trading giants in crypto.
