Meta introduced its new technologies at the event it held today. Here, Meta Quest 3 mixed reality glasses especially stood out. However, the product that attracted attention in the promotion was the company’s new smart glasses, Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses.
What do Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses offer?
The most important feature of the new Ray-Ban Meta glasses is their 12 megapixel wide-angle camera and 32 GB storage space. In this way, users can record videos at 1080p/60fps resolution and broadcast live directly to Facebook or Instagram.
There are also five built-in microphones in the glasses. These microphones can record spatial audio, including a receiver hidden in the nose to improve sound quality, especially during calls. Additionally, the new speakers are 50 percent louder. Moreover, it makes less noise to prevent people around you from hearing what you are listening to.
You can also use voice commands to control the glasses. For example, you can give a voice command to start a live broadcast or send content to people. Meta says that this feature of the glasses (with the help of AI) can make sharing easier and faster.
The design of the glasses has also been updated and offers a more stylish design with thinner stems. It also comes with a growing touchpad. In this way, it becomes easier to control music, adjust the volume and record photos or videos.
Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses are available for pre-order in the USA as of today. The price of the glasses starts at $299 and goes up to $329 for polarized lenses and $379 for transitional lenses. Official sales will start on October 17.
