We Went to Dyson’s Campus Abroad

With Dyson’s special invitation, we went to the company’s technology campus in Malmesbury, England. We saw new high-tech products coming to Turkey soon. Moreover, we not only saw but also had the chance to experience firsthand how Dyson produces the vacuum cleaners and air purifiers that we admire.

EXCLUSIVE NEWS – The reason you’ve heard of Dyson may be the quality of its upright and robot vacuum cleaners, or even its eye-catching hair care products. However, long before the company became known for these high-tech and quality products, Founded in 1991 in Malmesbury, England.

Since then, the headquarters of the company has been not only an office but also It is also used as living space. During the press tour we attended upon Dyson’s special invitation, we saw that the comfort offered by the company to its employees has a huge share behind the high technologies produced.

Approximately 14,000 people work, or rather live, on the Dyson campus, literally…

There is nothing on campus that is not considered for the comfort of employees. From their living spaces to the centers where they work, Everything is intertwined with nature. In a way, Dyson is not just a company that produces electrical appliances. It is truly a technology and R&D company. We had the chance to experience a campus that proves its worth.

Moreover, in this campus, there are not only the company’s offices, but also the Dyson Institute, which trains engineers who will work directly in the company;

One of England’s distinguished educational institutions This institute, in collaboration with the University of Warwickhad its first graduates in September 2021. At the same time, 270 new students have joined as of October 2023. It’s our dream to work in companies that build their own universities!

Of course, not only the robot vacuum cleaners and hair care products we see are developed in this large campus. Dyson is one of the world’s most expert companies in almost every field of engineering:

For example, it allows tiny vacuum cleaners to work so powerfully that they almost evacuate the air in the environment. Hyperdymium engine technology is being developed on this campus. The company also has the center of all engineering fields on this campus, including battery technologies and chemistry that save us from cables, thermodynamics, energy storage, biomedical technologies, wireless connection units, sensor algorithms and mobile applications.

In short, a look at Dyson’s campus. technology base It’s safe to say.

The following products are all developed in such a place:

Air cleaners, vacuum cleaners, robot vacuum cleaners and hair care products will probably become widespread in the future. Dyson Zone is also among these products.

The robot vacuum cleaner Dyson 360 Vis Nav, which will arrive in Turkey in January 2024, does not have the dust collector brushes that we are used to seeing in other robot vacuum cleaners. In other words, it is a robot vacuum cleaner, but it works like the wireless vacuum cleaners you know, and is 6 times more powerful than standard robot vacuum cleaners:

A product of Dyson’s previous successes in robot vacuuming is the 360 Vis Nav. Thanks to its HEPA filter, it traps not only dust but also much smaller particles that can harm those living in the environment. The success rate in dust collection is 99.99%. The remaining 0.01% details are now just microscopic particles.

The battery life of Dyson 360 Vis Nav is 65 minutes, but if you use it in the mode where it operates at the highest suction power, it can clean for 20 minutes, which is a pretty good time for a vacuum cleaner that is 6 times more powerful. In addition, thanks to the algorithm developed by Dyson for the robot vacuum cleaner, automatically switches between modes. Suction power increases or decreases depending on the condition of the floor and dust density.

When we asked the authorities why this vacuum cleaner does not have a mopping mode for wet cleaning, it was actually quite a bit surprising. A consumer friendly response we got it. According to what they said, the mop mode would increase the cost of the vacuum cleaner and therefore its price. They also stated that they did not want the Dyson 360 Vis Nav to be anything more than a robot vacuum cleaner that was good enough to make people not feel the need to vacuum most of the time. In other words, Dyson 360 Vis Nav is a high-tech product developed for the purpose.

Another Dyson product that will come to Turkey in January 2024 is Submarine. A high-tech vacuum cleaner head that will allow you to clean with water:

This vacuum cleaner head does more than just clean with water. This head is compatible with the body of Dyson V15s; It ensures that other pollutants other than dust, such as hair and thread, go to the vacuum chamber without getting tangled. Thanks to its lighting, it can be easily removed from the floor while vacuuming. the smallest particles and clumps of dust It ensures you don’t miss it.

Other products we saw included the Dyson Gen5detect cordless vacuum cleaner:

Gen5detect wireless vacuum cleaner, which was recently offered for sale in Turkey, One of the latest products of Dyson engineering. This cordless vacuum cleaner with 262 airwatts of suction power has a built-in light beam. Fluffy Optic head Thanks to this feature, it allows you to see the dust on the ground 2 times more easily than previous generations. At the same time, it can trap 99.9% of dust and particles, just like the robot vacuum cleaner Dyson 360 Vis Nav.

Finally, we had the chance to examine Dyson’s HEPA Big+Quiet air purifier on site:

Developed to clean the air in rooms up to 100 square meters Dyson HEPA Big+Quiet, is a product that Dyson engineers have carefully worked on. It can operate very quietly while cleaning the air in environments such as large living rooms in homes, large rooms in hotels, meeting rooms and indoor foyer areas. Improving the air quality of areas where more than one person is present at the same time, especially in work areas; It is an ideal product to get rid of pollutants such as pollen and formaldehyde in the environment.

That’s all for now from the technology campus in Malmesbury, England, where Dyson was born and is the center of all its operations today. We can’t wait to experience the products we see there and share the results with you. Stay tuned!
