Press members from all over the world attended the electric SUV event held by CUPRA today. As Shiftdelete.net, we also took part. In the statement made by the company, it was said that among these introduced vehicles, Tavascan and Terramar will be released in 2024, and UrbanRebel in 2025.
Terramar, the first model to be introduced, features plug-in hybrid technology. This 4.5-meter-long vehicle can reach a speed of 100 kilometers in full electric mode, thanks to the electric motor inside. It is also stated that this vehicle will have a version with only an electric motor.
The second SUV model is the Tavascan. This vehicle has a 295 hp electric motor used in the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX. In this way, it can reach 100 km speed in 6 seconds. On the range side, you can travel approximately 480 kilometers thanks to its 77 kWh battery.
UrbanRebel, the last member of the family and the most popular CUPRA electric SUV model, which will be put on sale in 2025, literally represents the compact SUV class with its 4.03 meter length. It also has a very sporty appearance, as you can see in the images below. Thanks to its 226 horsepower (166 kW) electric motor, it can accelerate to 100 km in 6.9 seconds. Its range is 440 kilometers.
CUPRA CEO Wayne Griffiths announced in a statement that they have showcased all of the next generation heroes that CUPRA will bring to market by 2025. He also emphasized that their goal as a company is to sell 500 thousand vehicles annually until 2025 and to continue to be included in new segments as well as expanding into new international markets.
