Chinese robotics company Unitree has launched its newest robot, the A1, in early 2020. The 4-legged robot can move fast, about 30 cm wide and 60 cm long. Walking speed is about 3 meters per second or 11 kmh per hour. Thanks to its flexible joints and a powerful motor, it can perform all kinds of jumping and turning movements. Each 4 foot structure has sensors with feedback information to be sent to the motor to make movements more efficient.

Unitree Robot dog sees with an artificial intelligence-assisted, depth-sensing smart camera. The dog, circling the obstacles in front of it, wirelessly transmits HD images in real time. It can run for up to 2.5 hours on a single charge. Dual USB ports, HDMI and Ethernet allow it to communicate with add-on modules and offer three protection modes and a people tracking mode right out of the box.

The Unitree A1 weighs about 12 kilograms including its battery and has a battery life of up to two and a half hours. It can also carry payloads of up to 5 kilos, with the potential to become a delivery robot. With its smart camera, it has real-time patrol and video transmission potential in many private and public areas.
