The Grand Finals of the PUBG Mobile World Cup, which took place at Istanbul Ülker Sports and Event Hall, witnessed a tight competition between 16 teams and IHC Esports from Mongolia became the champion. We attended the PUBG Mobile World Championship held for the first time in Turkey.

shiftdelete.netApart from IHC Esports’ victory in the tournament, the award ceremony of World of Wonder (PUBG MOBILE UGC Mode) and Ptopia Design Project (PDP) organized by PUBG MOBILE for players was also held. While the winners of the competition received their awards on stage, the championship cup found its owner in Istanbul.
The tournament, with over 86 million TL in the prize pool, took place with the competition of 16 teams from 10 different countries of the world. However, the success of the teams on this path was not easy. 48 teams took part in the PMGC League Stage and 6 matches were played every day. Melise Esports, Bra Espor and Next Rüya from Turkey also took part in this stage.
Turkish teams Bra Espor and Next Rüya could not show the necessary success to participate in the finals. However, Melise Esports earned the right to compete in the Hold Phase. Unfortunately, their performance was not enough and they were eliminated, losing their chance to qualify for the Grand Finals.
The only team representing Turkey was S2G Esports, which was last year’s world champion and was invited. However, their performance in the tournament was not as they wanted compared to last year and they ranked 11th.
The Grand Finals witnessed especially competitive matches between IHC Esports, Stalwart Esports and Alpha7 Esports. IHC Esports won the championship crown with 142 points, while S2G Esports finished the tournament in 11th place with 98 points.
