In the FIRST Robotics Competition Istanbul Regional Races final held at the Istanbul Volkswagen Arena, TED Robotics ranked first with its superior performance in the performance races and won the ‘Winner’ award.

TED Robotics competed in the ‘Bosphorus Regional’, the second regional event of the FIRST Robotics Competition, organized for the sixth time this year by the Fikret Yüksel Foundation, at the Istanbul Volkswagen Arena.

Four separate regional competitions in Turkey took place at the Volkswagen Arena, and these events brought together high school students from around the world and offered the opportunity to showcase their talents in the fields of robotics and engineering.

In the second part of the FIRST Robotics Competition, 53 teams from 6 different countries competed and the competition witnessed great excitement. The event was organized with the theme of ‘crescendo’, which means increasing movement in music, and each team performed on the field with the robots they had prepared throughout the year under the guidance of their mentors.

TED Robotics Team from TED Ankara College successfully completed the tasks in the field with the industrial robot they designed.

In the finale, TED Robotics’ robot first moved on its own and was then controlled to throw the rings onto the desired platform. The robot’s performance and the team’s cooperation factored into the rating. TED Robotics was the only Turkish team competing in the final, finishing first in the performance competitions and receiving the ‘Winner’ award.

TED Ankara College 12th grade student Alperen Konukbay stated that this great success is a great honor for them and that they are happy to represent Turkey in the international arena and that they worked devotedly as a team to achieve this success.
