Sydney – Breathe a sigh of relief in the case of Cleo Smith from Australia, who was missing until recently. The little girl’s parents feared for their lives for 18 days!
The four-year-old has been missing since October 16. At that time, she was with her mother, her partner and her little sister on a campsite on the coast near Macleod, around 900 kilometers north of the regional capital Perth. According to the mother’s statement, they noticed around 6 a.m. that the blonde girl and her sleeping bag had disappeared from one of the two rooms of the family tent.
Her daughter slept there next to her little sister. The tent zipper was opened to a height that the four-year-old could not have reached herself. Since then there has been no trace of the child.
But the investigators never gave up, temporarily offering a reward of the equivalent of 650,000 euros in order to obtain information about the girl’s whereabouts from the population.
Then the breakthrough in the investigation on Tuesday night! Police stormed into a locked house in Carnarvon, a coastal town in Western Australia, at 1:00 a.m. local time, and found Cleo there. One of the officers took her in his arms and asked her, “What’s your name?” The girl replied, “My name is Cleo”.
Carnarvon is around 75 kilometers from the campsite where the girl disappeared.

But what martyrdom did the four-year-old have to go through during the weeks of imprisonment? The police now want to find out under high pressure!
After the liberation, officials arrested a man (36) from Carnarvon. He is now in custody and is being interrogated by the police. However, there is no connection between the suspect and the family. Police said the man in custody was unrelated to the Smith family.
