Deaton pointed out some unusual events that have occurred recently and stated that a closed indictment against Binance would not be surprising.
During a discussion on Twitter, Deaton highlighted a notable shift in the regulatory approach towards the crypto industry.
He advised crypto market participants to be prepared for a protracted legal battle.
“Unfortunately, I think we need to be prepared for a longer fight,” Deaton said. “We’re seeing them move from ‘we’re going to kill crypto’ to ‘no, we can’t, so we’re going to crush it so traditional players can come in and take it,'” he said.
