VPN is coming to Microsoft Edge: But not unlimited!

Microsoft has added a new feature developed to promote the Chromium-based Edge browser. Currently at Opera built-in VPN (virtual private network) support announced that it will soon be available to Microsoft Edge users.

VPNs, which became very popular in Turkey with the blocking of access to Wikipedia for a period, are generally preferred to enter banned sites. These services can be used through various programs, or they can be installed on the computer with a user name and password. In this sense, it is very convenient that the VPN is a part of the browser.

When using Microsoft Edge Secure Network, starting with HTTP even on unsafe URLs your data is routed through an encrypted tunnel in Edge to establish a secure connection. This makes it harder for hackers to access your browsing data on a shared public Wi-Fi network.

Helps prevent online tracking: By encrypting your web traffic directly with Microsoft Edge, it helps prevent your ISP from collecting your browsing data, such as details about the websites you visit.

Keeps your location private: Microsoft Edge Secure Network allows you to roam online with a virtual IP address that masks your IP and replaces your geographic location with a similar regional address. Thus making it harder for online viewers to follow you while you browse.

To use the VPN feature in the Microsoft Edge browser, you need to have a Microsoft account and sign in. The reason this: that the feature works with a monthly quota limit of 1GB.
