Dusseldorf, Frankfurt There has been speculation about the Porsche IPO for months. Now Volkswagen, owner of the high-yield Stuttgart sports car manufacturer, is faced with an immediate decision: “It’s going to get serious on Monday,” said corporate circles at the weekend. The starting signal for the IPO is to be prepared.

On February 24, VW had already declared its intention to list Porsche in 2022 – exactly on the day that the Russian army invaded Ukraine. Since then, there has been uncertainty as to whether Volkswagen can even realize its stock market plans. The volatility on the financial markets is too great.
