Dusseldorf After a year and a half of the corona crisis with a mask requirement, distance rules and a new impending lockdown, the nerves of many working people are bare. Conflicts among colleagues not only cost nerves, but also time and therefore money.
A study by the auditing company KPMG assumes that around ten to 15 percent of working time is spent on conflict resolution and that conflict costs amount to at least 20 percent of a company’s total personnel costs. That was before Corona.
The new 3G rules, which force employees to disclose their vaccination status to the boss, but also the required vaccination requirement, are fueling the potential for conflict again enormously. Productivity and efficiency in teams decrease, not to mention a lack of cohesion, dwindling loyalty or internal resignation.
“The subject is so incredibly emotionally charged. The point has to be to bring those involved in the conflict back into conversation in order to be able to continue working productively, ”says Jens Thumser.
