Vienna Hardly anyone knows him, although he is currently mixing up the real estate market in Central Europe: Radovan Vitek, one of the richest entrepreneurs in the Czech Republic, wants to bring the real estate company Immofinanz, which is listed in Vienna, under his control.
His Frankfurt-listed company CPI Property Group owns properties worth eleven billion euros in Germany, the Czech Republic and other countries in Eastern Central Europe; if the takeover of Immofinanz succeeds, Vitek could expand its portfolio with properties worth five billion euros.
CPI has already acquired 21.4 percent of the Immofinanz shares. In addition, a “conditional” contract was concluded with an investor, which provides for the transfer of a further 10.6 percent of the Immofinanz stocks.
