Even though it’s been a long time since Elon Musk officially bought Twitter, it is still at the top of the world’s agenda.
US President Joe Biden said on November 4 that Twitter that it is a platform that spreads lies to the world stated. This statement came just after Twitter ‘confirmed’ the White House’s tweet as a lie.
Biden: “Elon Musk bought a platform that spreads lies to the world”
In his speech at a fundraising event on Friday, US President Joe Biden referred to Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter:
“Right now we are all worried. Elon Musk bought himself an ‘outfit’ that spread lies to the world… There are no editors left in America to verify the news anymore. How can we expect children to understand what is at stake?”
Although his statements are a bit like a puzzle piece, the message Biden wants to convey is clear: The US government is also uncomfortable with Musk’s purchase of Twitter. Musk’s promise, his Twitter was to make it the center of freedom of speech without turning it into a haven of hate.. But apparently no one believes it.
