Washington According to a report by the Bloomberg agency, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) plans to sue Microsoft in federal court this Monday. The US competition authority wants to prevent the company from completing the $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Bloomberg relies on an insider for its report.

The FTC plans to obtain an injunction blocking the transaction pending the agency’s internal decision on the deal, the anonymous insider told the Bloomberg report. A hearing before the agency’s court is scheduled to begin in August.
