Washington According to a newspaper report, the US antitrust authorities have initiated investigations into OpenAI because of a possible violation of consumer protection laws. According to the FTC, Microsoft’s participation in its popular chatbot ChatGPT endangers personal data and people’s reputations, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.

Therefore, the authority requested information in a 20-page letter on how OpenAI deals with the risks associated with artificial intelligence (AI). Neither the FTC nor OpenAI could initially be reached for comment.
