Uncertainty among Dax investors is increasing – but there are also positive factors

Frankfurt Actually, analysts and stock strategists had looked quite positively into the upcoming stock market week – but the situation in Ukraine is causing uncertainty. That had already depressed prices at the end of the week, including on the US stock exchanges.

Because of the escalating conflict in Ukraine, investors on Wall Street sold risky stocks in favor of assets that were perceived as safe, such as government bonds or currencies such as the yen and the US dollar. High inflation in the USA also caused additional nervousness. On Friday, the Dow Jones Industrial started the weekend down 1.4 percent to 34,738 points.

After it initially looked like the Wall Street Index would be up for the week, it ultimately fell by one percent. The S&P 500 ended the day down 1.9 percent at 4,418 points. The Nasdaq 100 technology index fell 3.1 percent to 14,253 points, down three percent for the week.
