The war between Russia and Ukraine is escalating. Of course, it should be noted that this demand is not for Turkey, but for the USA and the EU. In other words, he wants them to buy these products and send them to him. Therefore, the Turkish side will not contribute directly to aid. But let’s say that he would have made some sacrifices if he was willing to give his special systems that have never been sold to any country before.
For example, 8 Hisar-O air defense systems are requested, which have not been tested in the field, although many tests have been carried out on them before. Moreover, 720 Hisar-O missiles are also requested. We know that this system is quite successful. However, it is kept a secret in favor of Turkey, since the enemy countries do not fully know their capabilities.
Therefore, the Ukrainian side’s use of this system on the field may create both an opportunity to prove itself, as in TB2s, and a disadvantage for the enemy to take precautions in possible encounters in the future. However, it should be noted that although similar things are said on TB2s, it has not been able to take precautions for a long time.
On the other hand, Ukraine wants 8 KORKUT AHSS (Low-altitude air defense systems). In addition, it demands 80 thousand KORKUT ammunition. Developed on the amphibious FNSS ZMA-30 platform, this armored vehicle can use 35mm Smart Particle Ammunition. It should also be noted that it has the ability to hit all aircraft within a range of 4 km.
Of course, this is not what Ukraine wants from Turkish Defense Industry products. Bayraktar TB2 SİHAs in particular, Bayraktar TB2 EH Pod (10 units), MİLKAR EH System -20 units- (High Frequency Electronic Attack System) and ANKA-S SİHA (5 units) and numerous MAM-L, MAM-C and MAM-S (500 each) also wants domestic SİHA ammunition.
It is stated that if the US and EU parties agree to pay and sell in Turkey, it can be shipped very quickly and it will change the course of the war very quickly. It is also said that if other demands of Ukraine are met, it can gain the upper hand on the front.
