Ms. Kaljulaid, you were President of Estonia from 2016 to 2021. Are you afraid that one day Russia’s President Vladimir Putin will invade your country too?
From a rational point of view, the answer must be no. Estonia is a NATO member, so we should be safe. Nobody has ever attacked a NATO member country. But hearing some statements from the Russian side in the current situation, the question arises as to how far one can count on rationality. The intention behind such statements is to frighten us. We shouldn’t let that intimidate us.
