She came to Ukraine only three weeks ago. Wanted to help the country as a sniper against Putin’s troops. Now the Brazilian model Thalita do Valle (39) has fallen at the front.
She died on June 30 in a Russian missile attack near Kharkiv. A grenade hit their bunker directly. Another volunteer from Brazil died trying to evacuate them, reports the New York Post.
Thalita do Valle also served in Iraq
Thalita do Valle has taken part in many outreaches around the world. Most recently, the Brazilian was in Iraq and fought against the terrorist militia Islamic State (IS).
While in Iraq, do Valle trained as a sniper with the Peshmerga.
The model, who also studied law, had posted videos from her time in Ukraine on her YouTube channel, in which she also spoke about her previous experiences as a fighter against the Islamic State in Iraq.
Her brother, Theo Rodrigo Viera, recognized her as a hero who dedicated her life to helping others in need.
As a fighter near Kharkiv, she is said to have been responsible, among other things, for covering Ukrainians from advancing Russian troops.
