Dallas Two senior executives have already had to step down as part of the restructuring of the social media company acquired by Elon Musk. Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal announced this to his employees in a message that could be viewed by the Reuters news agency.

According to the industry service Techchrunch, the two top managers are consumer boss Keyvon Beykpour and Bruce Falck, who is responsible for sales in the product area.

“We still need to think about our teams, hiring and costs,” Agrawal said. Most recruitment is currently on hold, and all existing job offers are being reviewed to see if any should be withdrawn.

The CEO justifies the decision by saying that Twitter has not been able to meet the user growth and growth goals it had set itself. The company originally aimed for $7.5 billion in annual revenue and 315 million daily users by the end of 2023, but withdrew those goals in its most recent earnings report.
