We’ve launched Twitter Blue in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Officials emphasized that Twitter Blue subscribers’ checkmark applications will be carefully examined. Users with a blue tick on Twitter will be able to change their profile photo and name after they are reviewed by the moderation team. The company stated that the blue tick feature of the user will be turned off until the changes to the profile are approved.
Twitter will continue to show ads to users who purchase a Blue subscription. Stating that they want all users to benefit from the new feature, the company said, “For now, there is a transaction cost to create more layers for the Twitter experience. We want to keep the price reasonable and make sure you find the features on offer worthwhile. There can be a learning process here and we will evaluate the feedback.” said.
The Twitter Blue subscription price is set at $8 per month for web users. The company announced that iOS users can take advantage of the new feature by paying 11 dollars a month.
