Social media platform Twitter today cryptocurrency and NFT marketplace, it will allow users to buy, sell and view NFTs directly via tweets.

Called NFT Tweet Tiles, the integration showcases an NFT’s artwork in a dedicated panel within the tweet and includes a button that allows users to click through to a list of marketplaces.

The integration, which is still in testing, is currently working with four select partner marketplaces: wither based marketplace Magic Eden, multiplatform NFT marketplace protocol Rarible, flow blockchain creator Dapper Labs and sports-centric platform Jump.trade.

Twitter previously supported NFTs as verified profile pictures through its Twitter Blue subscription service in January, but currently only supports Ethereum NFTs.

Elon Musk, who is in the process of buying Twitter, has made it clear that he is not satisfied with the current administration. In his statement today, Musk stated that the purpose of purchasing the platform is to improve this social media network, which is important for the world.

Musk added that he didn’t “buy it to make more money” on Twitter.

Musk said that Twitter should be a platform that both complies with country laws and is “warm and welcoming for everyone, where you can choose the experience you want according to your preferences.”
