STM Defense Technologies, Engineering and Trade Inc. organizes the Capture The Flag (CTF) competition every year in order to raise awareness in the field of cyber security and contribute to the training of qualified human resources. This year, the competition will be held on October 22-23, 2021.
White hat hacker competitors who will fight in the CTF, which has been moved to digital due to pandemic conditions; They will try to catch the flag by taking advantage of the vulnerabilities in the systems to achieve the goals set in branches such as cryptography, reverse engineering, web and mobile applications before other competitors.
The winner of the CTF competition is awarded 35 thousand TL. The second place receives a prize of 30 thousand TL, and the third receives a prize of 25 thousand TL. You can click on the link below to reach the website of the competition.
Award-winning mini quiz from STM!
In addition to the CTF, STM will also hold a mini quiz show. In the event, where multiple choice questions will take place, everyone will have the right to only one answer. The first 25 people to answer will receive points starting from an extra +50 points up to +2 points.
Each of the questions will be 50 points. So the first to answer will get 100 points. The 25th answerer will score 52 points. The questions will be opened in sets. In the second set, information questions about cyber security and systems will come without broadcast. Although the number of questions is not clear for now, a lively pace will be followed with as many questions as possible.
Applicants will be able to access the mini-competition through the site prepared for the conferences. The quiz awards were announced as iPad for the 1st place, Apple Watch for the second and AirPods for the third place.
