Turkcell launched the application for all devices with a single number!- SDN

Today, since almost all technological devices are smart, they can communicate both within their ecosystem and with 3rd parties. In fact, some devices such as smart watches, tablets and computers began to replace the phone. However, in this process, there is an obstacle in front of them such as SIM card connection. Turkcell, on the other hand, became a pioneer in this field by launching the service for all devices with a single number as of today.

Smartwatches, computers and tablets are split on connectivity. While some of them only connect via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, some of them can be used without the need for a phone as they support SIM card connection.

But in this case, we need to buy one SIM card for each device and have several different numbers. For example, a consumer using a phone, tablet and smart watch must have a 3-line subscription. This makes the usage process quite costly.

Turkcell Deputy General Manager Gediz Sezgin evaluated the future of communication technologies.

Thanks to the single number and multi-device support launched by Turkcell today, we will now be able to use our existing line only by defining it to other devices. In other words, it will be possible to use more than one device over a single number and tariff.

Gediz Sezgin, one of the Turkcell executives, said the following on the subject:

“With Single Number and Multi-Device services, we aimed to provide our customers with a communication infrastructure independent of their phones. Our customers will now be able to leave their phones at home with the only number they have and continue to make voice and data communications with other smart devices.

In this period when digitalization needs increased in every field, many national and international companies in the sector became our solution partners. We aim to provide our customers with a richer and more flexible communication experience by incorporating many different devices, from tablets to cars, into this ecosystem over time.”
