Turkcell announced its 2022 first quarter results!

Paycell grew by 67.2 percent in the first quarter

Turkcell’s techfin revenues increased by 58.5 percent in the first quarter of 2022 with the contribution of Paycell and Financell. Paycell left behind the first quarter of the year with a growth of 67.2 percent. While the number of active users for 3 months reached 6.9 million, the total transaction volume of Paycell tripled compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 6.7 billion TL.

Paycell increased the number of Android POS devices by 66 percent to 9,600. The transaction volume of POS solutions doubled to TL 2.1 billion with the contribution of virtual POS services.

The number of paid users of Turkcell’s cloud-based storage service Lifebox reached 1.4 million, an increase of 50 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. The total number of downloads of the instant messaging application BiP reached 92 million, with one out of every 5 active users of BiP from abroad.

Turkcell has almost 3 million fixed internet connection

Reaching a loan portfolio of TL 2.3 billion with an annual increase of 24 percent, Financell’s revenues increased by 50 percent in this quarter with the contribution of the insurance business. While the total number of fixed internet customers exceeded 2.7 million, Turkcell TV+ service took place in 65 of every 100 fiber customers.
