On the first day of the earthquake, Türk Telekom teams reached the region to ensure uninterrupted communication and quickly identified the destroyed switchboards and base stations. According to the statement, the company transferred mobile stations to the region to eliminate the disruptions in communication, while personnel from the surrounding provinces sent additional generators to provide energy source.
The teams are renovating the base station, which does not receive electricity, by taking a mobile generator and fuel. While Türk Telekom, whose thousands of employees in the region were affected by the earthquake, was carrying generators to the base stations under harsh conditions with the teams it dispatched from the surrounding provinces, it was seen that it brought the mobile energy sources into working condition and brought the base stations that could not work due to the lack of energy to work.
