There has been a fierce competition in the smartphone world in recent years. However, with the development of technology, processors in smartphones create a separate competitive field. On the other hand, in recent years under the influence of the chip crisis, TSMC has become the most popular name in this field.

Bad news for the tech industry: The chip crisis is just getting started!

ASML, which is well-known to chip manufacturers in the technology sector, said that due to the chip crisis, orders will not arrive on time.

TSMC grew by 35 percent compared to the same quarter of last year

TSMC, one of the first names that comes to mind when it comes to chip manufacturing, continues its leadership in this field. The company, which finished 2021, which was under the influence of the coronavirus, with a leadership in income level, continues to grow in the first quarter of 2022. According to the data announced by TSMC, the company experienced a 35 percent growth in the first quarter of this year, based on the same period of last year.

The company, which has made a name for itself with Apple, continues to progress smoothly in the sector, which is going through very difficult times due to the coronavirus. So much so that many chip manufacturers suspended their operations during the coronavirus period. However, TSMC continued to maintain production in China. The company gave the following details in its statement on growth.

TMSC’s growth in the first quarter seems to be normal, but contradicted by its recent statements. TSMC President Mark Liu announced that the geopolitical uncertainties in China and the increase in the coronavirus were effective in the decrease in smartphone demands. In addition, he stated that the problems in the processor area had an effect on the increase in costs.
