Transport ships for liquid gas urgently needed

Athens It was May when the Greek shipowner George Economou ordered two liquid gas tankers, each with a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters, for his shipping company TMS Cardiff Gas from the Korean shipyard Hyundai Heavy Industries. According to the ship valuation platform Vessels Value, the purchase price per ship was $231 million. Shortly thereafter, Economou ordered two more identical ships from the shipping company in June, according to Vessels Value. The unit price was already 243.5 million dollars.
