Towards MMU KAAN’s domestic engine: TEI-TF6000 is on the stage!

Turkey’s domestic defense industry move continues unabated. In addition to many projects put forward in this context, local and national defense industry companies have started to produce in different areas. One of these was TEI, which produced Turkey’s first domestic turbofan engine (jet engine). It is of great importance regarding MMU KAAN and the engine to be used. Here is Turkey’s domestic and national turbofan jet engine and its details in our news…

MMU contains great experience for KAAN! Here is TEI-TF6000

Next in Turkey’s domestic and national defense industry move is the domestic jet engine. Especially after our IHA and SIHA vehicles entered the market, MMU-TFX, or National Combat Aircraft KAAN, attracted the most attention. One of the highly anticipated parts of our 5th generation domestic and national warplane, whose name was announced as “KAAN” at the last Istanbul Teknofest event, was its engine.

Many explanations have been made on the subject. In particular, the former President of the Presidency of Defense Industries, İsmail Demir, stated that MMU KAAN would initially fly with a non-domestic engine, but in the future, it would take to the skies with a domestic engine. In the statements made by TUSAŞ and TEI on the subject, it was stated that work for the engine of MMU KAAN had started with a team of more than 300 people, and that after the production of the first 20 aircraft, the transition to domestic engines would be made.

Of course, at this point, many engines were exhibited at events such as Teknofest. The first fully produced turbofan engine named TEI-TF6000 was exhibited at Teknofest Izmir, which was held in Izmir and will host visitors until October 1. TF6000 and TF10000 engines are of great importance, especially for MMU KAAN’s domestic engine.

In the statements made and on the issues stated on the website prepared by TEI, it is stated that the TF6000 and TF10000 series engine projects have great importance and experience for MMU KAAN.
