Three TikTok users announced in their interview that they were defrauded through the social media platform. According to this statement, all three users sent their ashes to a user to paint a picture of their deceased loved ones. However, the person who stated that he was an artist did not reveal any work and additionally asked for money although it was not in the contract. TikTok users don’t want anyone to experience a similar scam story
TikTok user named Chad shared that he draws from the ashes of the deceased to keep the memory of the people they lost alive. Stating that this is also free, the TikTok user received the ashes of the person to be drawn from a woman. However, after a while, the e-mail sent to the woman was asked to pay 3 thousand 576 dollars, which was stated to be a customs fee.
Stating that there is a contract and the work to be done in this contract is free, the person said, “I was scammed, stole the ashes of my mother’s body.” He posted a video titled After this video describing the situation, the young woman learned that she was not alone and that there were people who had a similar fraud story on TikTok before.
Two other young women, who were scammed in the same way, said that they commented on the post of a TikTok user named Chad and that if he sent the ashes, they could make him a free portrait. However, after the ashes were gone, no artifacts were found and the person who stated that he would provide free service demanded a payment of 1000 dollars to send the ashes back.
None of the young women sent money to the scammer. The Federal Bureau of Investigation Woodstock Police Department was also reported on the matter. Women scammed on TikTok warn not to repeat the scammer.
