Thousands of stolen items were found thanks to AirTag!

AirTag, the lost and found device that Apple introduced last year, has recently deviated from its intended use. Device used for purposes such as human tracking; exact position of any object UWB can detect it with the chip. However, considering its concept, we can say that it is a useful product for finding lost and found objects.

AirTag is on the agenda with a new issue that causes anxiety in people!

According to the news of The Wall Street Journal, AirTag, which appeared with secret tracking events, is now on the agenda with ghost notification problems.

$10,000 stolen item found via AirTag

AirTag, which has been on the agenda recently with the news that it has been used for very different purposes than its concept, this time came up with a pleasing development. The tracking device helped find a photographer’s $10,000 item stolen from his car.

Photographer Graham Tait, while vacationing in South Australia earlier this month, discovered that valuables in his car worth $10,000 were stolen, including a laptop, Sony camera, GoPro and wallet.

Tait, who bought a few AirTags for situations such as theft and loss and put them among his important belongings, found the device as if the thieves had put it by hand because it was not noticed. Upon this, the photographer contacted the police without wasting time and took back his stolen belongings in full.

Apart from that, AirTag is currently on the agenda with false notification issues. In other words, although the person has never been followed, they can receive false notifications that there is an AirTag nearby. This causes people to feel unnecessarily worried that they are being followed. Of course, let’s also point out that this feeling is caused by the unwanted follow-up events that we have been encountering recently.
