Companies use various measures to lure their employees back to the workplace.

Dusseldorf Siemens is relaxing its strict home office rules. For more than two years, almost all office workers have been working from home to avoid contagion. The Corona Occupational Health and Safety Ordinance expired on Thursday, companies no longer have to hand out quick tests and masks at company expense. “We would now like to enable our people to return to the office on a daily basis, as we had always planned for the time after the pandemic,” says Siemens HR Director Judith Wiese.

Special incentives are also planned for this, such as team breakfasts or family celebrations at several locations. Wiese does not consider this to be necessary in principle: Many employees wanted to come back to the office of their own accord after working from home for a long time. The Dax group wants to simplify the decision in favor of the presence.
