BJ Kang left the FBI for the cryptocurrency exchange after twenty years at the federal investigative agency, where he most recently worked on the cybercrime team of the Washington field office.

According to the company’s announcement, Kang was the FBI’s supervisory special agent on the National Cyber ​​Research Joint Task Force’s Financial Monitoring Team, where he worked on Bitcoin-related cases with his counterparts from the IRS, the US Secret Service, and FinCEN.

Kang praised Binance.US’ current work with law enforcement, noting the need for “close coordination”.

It is known that the global Binance brand has been subject to intense scrutiny by law enforcement as well as regulators.
