IYK raised $16.8 million in seed funding

A16z Crypto is leading a $16.8 million seed round for web3 startup IYK. The startup helps brands like Adidas create digital-physical experiences for their customers. The altcoin project provides brands like Adidas and Johnnie Walker with tools to help them bridge the physical and digital worlds.

Other investors in the round include 1kx, Collab Currency, Lattice Capital and gmoney, IYK said in a statement on Thursday. According to its website, IYK was an alumnus of a16z Crypto Startup School, the venture capital giant’s accelerator program that typically invests $500,000 in participating startups in exchange for 7% equity. It is not clear when IYK started raising money for the seed round. It’s also unclear when the company shut it down. Meanwhile, co-founder Ryan Ouyang declined to comment. Ouyang also did not comment on the structure of the seed round and valuation.
