However, it is stated that Microsoft also offers Windows 11 to users whose computers do not have sufficient features.
Windows 11 offer coming to devices that don’t meet the minimum requirements
It has been revealed that Windows 10 has been asking some users to upgrade to the Windows 11 operating system in the past few weeks, even though their computers did not meet the minimum requirements. A Twitter user named PhantomOcean3 shared the situation after the notification stating that he could install Windows 11 on his computer with only 2 GB of RAM.
Acknowledging this issue, Microsoft stated that the upgrade process was not completed on devices that did not meet the minimum requirements. Thus, the company announced that the problem was solved on the same day and that the users did not experience any problems.
Microsoft has faced similar problems in the past. The company, which offered Windows 11 to devices that did not meet the minimum requirements in previous dates, does not seem to have solved this problem yet. Microsoft requires computers to have an application called Trusted Platform Module (TPM) in order to install the latest operating system on your computer. Confusion has been going on since Microsoft launched this app.
The sale of Windows 10, which was released in 2015, ended as of January 31, 2023. Now, Microsoft, which wants its users to switch to Windows 11, states that it follows this policy for security reasons. Despite the end of sales, security updates for Windows 10 will continue until 2025.
