Frankfurt The debate about the extent to which metropolises will still be attractive in the future has become more topical as a result of the corona crisis – especially for real estate investors. More urgently than ever, they are asking themselves whether a dangerous price bubble has formed in the big cities and could soon burst.
Which cities stand out as attractive places for companies and people alike and can cope well with the current challenges is therefore a crucial question from the perspective of the real estate market, which the analysts of the Deka Group have investigated in their current Real Estate Monitor.
They have compiled a ranking of the 63 most attractive cities worldwide, which is available exclusively to the Handelsblatt. Among the top performers are a few cities that might surprise. A German city also made it into the top ten – Berlin is not.
Specifically, as part of the metropolitan scoring, 63 cities worldwide were checked for various aspects from the areas of ecology, new work, globalization and urbanization.
