Four with a market capitalization of less than $1 billion altcoin, managed to rise over 182% in seven days, while the strong players of the cryptocurrency world ended 2021 with a modest price action.
The first altcoin to post big gains last week is an Ethereum-based project that aims to provide privacy for trading and lending on decentralized exchanges (DEXs). Railgun (RAIL) it happened.
RAIL rose 211% from a seven-day low of $1.33 on Dec. 31 to an all-time high of $4.15.
Another altcoin participating in the rally is the Tier-2 scaling solution. Metis it happened. The Metis protocol aims to offer lower fees and faster transaction times than Ethereum while maintaining the security of the leading smart contract platform.
METIS is up 211% from a seven-day low of $85.33 to an all-time high of $265.
Another crypto asset that has managed to rise strongly from both the top two altcoins. LIT it happened. LIT is an ERC-20 token and native crypto asset of the cross-chain identity aggregator Litentry network.
LIT managed to climb from a seven-day low of $0.001 to a high of $0.003, averaging more than 200%.
Another crypto asset that should not be overlooked is OpenSea’s token, a token that aims to support artists and creators in the NFT market. OpenDAO (SOS) it happened. SOS was airdropped last week based on the amount of ETH spent by marketplace users.
SOS is up over 320% after being airdropped and currently maintains a bullish outlook of over 170% over the last seven strengths.
In the same time frame, Ethereum (ETH), the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, fell 9%. Similarly, the leading crypto asset Bitcoin (BTC) has dropped 6.5% last week.
