Dusseldorf Of the eleven companies that have applied for compensation payments via the gas levy, only very few are dependent on state aid. This shows the full list of applicants that Trading Hub Europe (THE), a coalition of several gas network operators, published on Monday.

The Handelsblatt reported last week that, in addition to the well-known gas traders Uniper, VNG and EWE, Sefe (formerly Gazprom Germania), OMV, Axpo, Vitol and Gunvor have also applied for payments. The Swiss companies DXT Commodities and Enet Energy as well as the Sefe subsidiary Wingas from Kassel now complete the list.

The energy company RWE had been listed as a precaution, but has already announced that it does not want to take any money from the levy.
