Tesla officially introduced the refreshed 2024 Model 3 in the United States, which it launched in Europe, the Middle East and China last fall. The renewed Tesla Model 3, codenamed “Highland” during the development process, brings some important changes aimed at aerodynamics and advanced features in Tesla’s popular electric sedan model.
Renewed Tesla Model 3 has better aerodynamics, lower top speed
The most notable exterior change is the removal of the prominent front end overhang, replacing it with a sleeker hood and low-profile headlights. Tesla claims these changes optimize aerodynamics and potentially increase the vehicle’s range. New design elements include two new colors: Stealth Gray and Ultra Red.
Two main versions are offered for the renewed Tesla Model 3. Buyers will be able to choose between a dual-motor Long Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD) model or a more affordable rear-wheel drive version. Notably, the Performance model, which was part of the previous range, is no longer listed as an option.
Range and performance
The refreshed Long Range Tesla Model 3 has an estimated range of up to 548 km, a slight improvement over its predecessor’s range of 535 km. The Rear Drive version maintains a range of 437 km. However, we should point out that both versions of the new Model 3 have a lower top speed of 205 km/h compared to the 2023 models.

Interior and comfort improvements
Tesla has made several upgrades to the interior of the 2024 Model 3, including new acoustic glass for a quieter cabin, improved suspension tuning for improved ride quality, and the use of more sophisticated materials.
Interior features include ventilated seats, customizable ambient lighting, a brighter center touchscreen with smaller bezels and improved contrast, and an upgraded audio system with up to 17 speakers.
