Publishing an announcement on its official website, Twitter announced that the restriction was taken to detect and remove spam and bot accounts. Giving the message that this restriction will never be lifted, the company stated that they are working to optimize the platform.

  • Verified (blue tick) accounts will be limited to reading 6000 posts per day
  • Unverified accounts will be able to read 600 posts per day
  • New unverified accounts will be able to read 300 posts.
