We have entered a period where the last steps are taken for the domestic automobile. Currently, partial trials are being carried out with 208 robots at the Gemlik facility. Production trials will start from next July. The vehicle is undergoing Euro NCAP performance and crash tests in Europe. But everyone has the same question in mind. How much money will Togg be?
How much will the Togg C-SUV cost and when will it be released?
It was announced that the paint and body facilities at the Togg factory were 99 percent complete and the assembly line 98 percent completed. In addition, different trials are being conducted on the usage scenarios of robots. Trial productions will be carried out from the next month. In other words, we have reached the edge of mass production.
For this reason, the 1-year plans shared by the company at the last CES 2022 event continue without delay. Therefore, we can say that mass production will begin at the end of this year and the C-SUV model will be put on sale until March 2023 (within the first quarter). So, Togg, how much money will it be?
Togg’s local rate has been determined!
The locality rate of the first model to be produced by Togg and other automotive manufacturers operating in Turkey has been determined.
According to the shares made by Togg officials, especially the CEO of the company, Gürcan Karakaş, in the past period, it will be much lower than its electric rivals on the price side. It will even be able to compete with internal combustion models in the C-SUV class.
But it should not be forgotten that the predictions made will only be valid for today. For example, MG’s all-electric ZS EV model, which entered the Turkish market last year, was shown as a rival to Togg with its price of 400 thousand TL and features. However, in just one year, the price of this vehicle rose to the level of 1 million TL.
Therefore, we are making an estimation not for the Togg, which will be released in 9 months, but for the question of how much money would be in today’s conditions. If we have covered the basics, let’s move on to our price forecast and the prices of competitors.
When we look at C-SUV cars with internal combustion gasoline and diesel engines, we see that prices start from 600 thousand TL and go up to 1 million TL. Electric C-SUVs, if we include hybrids, start from 1 million TL and go up to 2 million TL.
For example, Mercedes GLB prices start from 1.3 million TL, while GLCs start from 1.9 million TL and go up to 2.3 million TL. But their main rivals are not these models. Because when we look at the company’s electric C-SUV cars, we come across EQB and EQA. The starting price of both vehicles is around 1.7 million TL.
At this point, considering the prices of electric and internal combustion engine vehicles in the market and the support to be made by the government to Togg, if the conditions remain the same as today, the price of the first model to be released next year will be higher. 1.1 million TLWe expect it to be above .
