Google Pixel 6 series has fingerprint calibration issue
Google Pixel 6 users, who shared their problems via Reddit and Google Support, say that the fingerprint sensor either does not work at all or is problematic after replacing their screen. Even users who have screen replaced in their own services such as Google’s UBreakIfix report the same problem.
The problem arose because users who both tried to re-identify their finger to the under-display fingerprint reader and already registered fingerprints received the error “Unique calibration software not found for this device”.
This problem is thought to be caused by the software Google provides to the services. Because after the repaired screen, the fingerprint sensor needs to be defined and calibrated to the device again. At this point, software shared by the company is used. Therefore, it is said that the problem is actually caused by the calibration software.
Google was grappling with a similar problem last October. Due to various comments from users about the slowness of fingerprints and the similar calibration process after repair, it surpassed them with an update it released.
