The performance difference between the Exynos 2200 and its predecessor has become clear

Showcasing the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 models at the Galaxy Unpacked event held yesterday, Samsung does not fall off the agenda with its own production Exynos 2200 chipset. Finally, the performance difference between the processor and its predecessor has emerged. Here are the details…

Samsung users are happy: With One UI 4.1, the virtual RAM feature will expand!

Deciding to further develop the virtual RAM feature, which has become widespread in the industry, Samsung took its first official step with the One UI 4.1 version.

Exynos 2200 did not meet expectations on paper

As it is known, Samsung usually launches its flagship models with Exynos and Qualcomm processors, which vary according to the markets. In fact, the company periodically becomes the focus of reactions with the claim that there are performance differences between the two processors. Until today, the share of our country has always been the models powered by the Exynos processor.

However, this situation has changed drastically with the Galaxy S22 models introduced yesterday. The series will be presented to users in our country with models powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Exynos 2200, which debuted in the past weeks and went through a very painful promotional process, failed to meet expectations on paper.

According to the news of Wccftech, Exynos 2200, which has been compared with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the Geekbench database and has done successful work, is only 5 percent faster than its predecessor Exynos 2100 on the CPU side, according to a new test. If we consider that the performance difference between a newly launched processor and an old one is usually in the range of 15 to 20 percent, these results are not very encouraging.

In addition, the main performance difference between the two processors is on the GPU (graphics unit) and NPU side. Because the Exynos 2200’s GPU with AMD RDNA 2 architecture is 17 percent faster than its predecessor. The processor’s NPU is 115 percent faster than before.

So what do you think about this subject? Do you think the Exynos 2200 was able to meet expectations? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section or on the SDN Forum.
