In the past weeks, the serial production date and engine details of the Altay Tank became clear. According to information on the subject, mass production of the tank will start in 2025. The first 100 tanks to be mass produced will consist of units purchased from South Korea. Later, domestic engines and units will be used in Altay Tanks.
BMC is currently building the facility where the vehicles will be produced in Ankara. After the production location of the vehicles, facilities and the engines to be used were determined, the behind-the-scenes of the chassis process was also revealed. According to the reports and information compiled on the subject, it was reported that two different vehicles suitable for terrain and defense conditions will be produced using the chassis of the tank.
