Lenovo became the leader of the global computer market!

According to the latest reports, global computer shipments increased by 15 percent in 2021 compared to the previous year. Compared to 2019, a total increase of 27 percent was observed. Therefore, we are faced with the highest data of the last 10 years. However, Lenovo, which holds the 24.1 percent volume of the market, also managed to sit in the leadership seat.

According to the shared report, HP is right behind Lenovo, which ranked first, with a market share of 21.7 percent. Dell, on the other hand, manages to print its name in the top 3 rankings with its 17.4 volume. Apple, on the other hand, ranks fourth with 8.5 percent, which is almost half of Dell’s market volume.

Looking at the growth rates of the companies, Acer is in the 2nd place with a rate of 21.8 percent, and when the global shipments are considered, Acer takes the 5th place of the list by taking a share of 7.1. Increasing its market share of 6.7 percent in 2020 is also related to this.

Of course, the ranking in the list of growth rates is different than expected. For example, Apple is in the leadership seat with 28.3 percent. Likewise, this company manages to increase its market share of 7.6% in 2020, like Acer. Similarly, we see Dell increasing its market share by 0.5 percent with the 18 percent growth rate business.

However, the HP and Lenovo duo ranks 4th and 5th in the list with growth rates of 9.5 percent and 13.1 percent. This also affects the market shares. Although they rank 1st and 2nd in the first list, we see that the market shares of both companies are shrinking.

Of course, the picture we encounter this year may take a very different turn next year. But assuming it goes this way, we could see HP and Lenovo at the bottom of the list and Dell, Apple and Acer at the top of the list in the next few years.
