As you know, the second season of The Last of Us is currently being shot. We previously learned that Kaitlyn Dever was chosen for the character of Abby. Now the cast of The Last of Us season 2 is well shaped. Here are the details.
New names join the cast of The Last of Us season 2
No One Can Save You’s Kaitlyn Dever will play the series’ co-lead character Abby. Madame Web’s Isabela Merced and Beef’s Young Mazino will star as Ellie’s friends Dina and Jesse, respectively. Now, four new cast members have been announced to fill out Abby’s group of friends from Seattle: Owen, Mel, Nora, and Manny.
Danny Ramirez (Top Gun: Maverick) will play Abby’s roommate and best friend Manny, Tati Gabrielle (You) will star as Washington paramedic Nora, and Ariela Barer and Spencer Lord will star as other elements in Abby’s love triangle. He will complete the Seattle team as Mel and Owen.
It means that the roles of some of Abby’s friends from the game, such as Jordan, Nick and Leah, will not be played by known actors. But since casting is now starting to focus on Abby’s friends rather than Ellie’s friends, their announcements could possibly be coming as well. Of course, it is also an option for these characters not to appear in the series.
Those who played The Last of Us Part II will remember that these characters are Ellie’s targets in a tale of revenge that begins with Ellie’s home in Wyoming and then extends to the war zone of post-apocalyptic Seattle.
Has the anticipated Star Wars game been cancelled?
Today, the EA Star Wars game was unfortunately canceled as the company laid off hundreds of people.
It’s currently unclear which season two will show which parts of which story, as series director Craig Mazin has said that the events of Part II will likely span multiple seasons. There is still no confirmation on who will play Lev.
The first season of The Last of Us continues to win numerous awards, including Pedro Pascal winning at the SAG Awards for his portrayal of Joel.
